Well I’ve been waiting to do this post now, and had an idea of what to say as well as some exciting news, but last Friday, our new server that we have in the “lab” right now had a problem with overheating. Our boys over at the datacenter though got it fixed as soon as possible, so things are on schedule this weekend.

Some of you may have noticed that during the last day of the month, the website took a dive into “Bandwidth Exceeded” land. This makes me rather happy, it just shows the tremendous (and hopefully continued) success of this website. Arrangements have been made so that this does not happen again, but I would love to see it happen (for a bout a minute, with no downtime and then all fixed up right and good).

We do have three new sites scheduled for release in August (hopefully this weekend). The first is about pking (as mentioned in a previous blog post) and the first public group that we deluged this information too seemed to really like the idea and were very enthusiastic about it. The other one is sort of interesting (not really “entertainment” related, but we feel people will enjoy it none-the-less). Wow this blog post has been total abuse of what do you call them — ugh, I can’t remember…oh yeah! parentheses. So sorry :(.

You guys are doing a great job of getting pictures in, this morning we have a nice huge update for you (Linda, you do have permission to sleep it, that couldn’t have been easy). We’ve also brainstormed some new ideas for the site such as “user accounts” (easy uploading of pictures, tracking which ones are yours, etc). And we haven’t forgotten about “player moderators” and “image commenting”, they are just taking a long time to develop and decide how exactly we want them to work and specific functionality — It’s not an easy decision!

Keep up the good work, keep coming back, and most importantly — Keep submitting those all important funny pictures!
