Today we’re releasing one of the most…anticipated features in a while.

Comments && Names!

What this means is, if you go to a URL in the VIEWALL module (Only on the viewall module do they show up) you can see the person who submitted the picture (If accurate, will cover this in a moment) and the “remark” about the picture.

So from now on, all comments that you submit on a picture should be relevant, not just a bunch of LOL!”!11!!111!!!111!!!111one stuff, that does no good for anyone. It’s your chance to provide a story (accurately) behind the picture. It occurred to me last week that a lot of the voting on pictures was “down” simply because they didn’t understand the picture, or something they didn’t see in the picture at first glance told the true story. This now lets you vote more accurately, and it allows people to find your pictures in our (soon to be released) Search Function!

As always, we reserve the right to remove/edit comments at any time (and have for a couple thousand images, to make them more relevant). Swearing in comments is not permissible, yada yada — don’t do it please. It means we have to take the time to remove it, which prevents us from updating images faster.

Please keep in mind that we did go through about a couple thousand pictures and update the Name and Comment as best we could to accurately reflect the picture. Those of you that are fimiliar with our update process know that we overwrite the rejected images to keep Image ID’s reflective of how many actual images there are. When we do this, the Name and Comment *until recently* were not removed. We’ve since changed our methodology to prevent this from happening, and we strive for quality more now than ever.

If you submitted a picture and you’re name is not on it (when you come across it), or the opposite of this statement: you did not submit a picture and your name is on it. Please shoot us an email via the “Contact Us” page and we’ll correct is ASAP. Check it out, it’s fun stuff =)
