You may or may not be wondering where your update is.. but I’ll tell you where: sitting in a folder, waiting for Travis.

He started college and I’m only able to get/send things to him (such as new images) on weekends - and my schedule on weekends isn’t the best either.

I promise that we’ll do whatever we can to get the update to you by Sunday. If not this coming Sunday then definitely the following one.. or maybe the one after that. ^^;

If you need some entertainment, there is someone by the name of Phil on our forums who could probably keep you entertained with his rather quirky sense of humor. And of course, wherever Phil is, Rayman is not far behind..

Just a quick update so you guys aren’t left in the dark: no, we haven’t abandoned the site - Travis and I have just been tending to that rather irritating thing called life. There are many images for us to add and we will get them done asap. We realize it’s been many weeks since we gave you an update and I just want to say that I am very grateful to those of you that check the site on a regular basis to see if we have updated yet.

So again, stay tuned - we’ll hopefully get an update of some sort done within the next week (we’re waiting on Travis now, my life has settled down a bit =P) so hang tight!

JAGeX posted a message early this morning (about 1:30 AM Pacific Time) describing the purchase of buying Runescape Gold as supporting sweatshops, and encouraged their players to stay away from any websites that allow such advertisement to take place.

RSHumor.net is one of the first websites willing to comply with this requirement. If JAGeX’s belief that these sweatshops do in fact exist than it’s our responsibility to do what we can. Advertisements on our network of websites will soon be heavily scrutinized for these advertisements and we will take action to remove or prevent these (However it’s very early in the morning, and I’m writing this as I’m falling asleep on my desk on top of my ACT Prep Book, so it will have to wait until tomorrow morning).
We would like however for each of you to think about this. Most large websites cannot afford to have no advertising.

The advertising that JAGeX runs on their website you have to have millions of page views per month to get accepted into. Unfortunately smaller operations don’t have such luxury. You’ll note they also have problems with their advertisements, and such instances are actually in various screenshots on our main site (Selling of Viagra, etc). Any advertising system in which the person isn’t directly involved in will have flaws. JAGeX needs to work more closely with Google to see that this problem is ended from their end, not ours. JAGeX has far greater control over their trademarks and copyrights than we do as individuals, and in fact they already prevent people from using the word “Runescape” in ads, but that doesn’t stop them, so they need to look a little more closely at what they are doing.

Without any advertisements we could not afford to keep the site up and running, and I believe we share the sentiment with many other Runescape websites (large and small). We have exorbitant bandwidth and server costs on a monthly basis, and unlike JAGeX we don’t have a couple million dollars flowing into our bank accounts monthly to support our hobbies, joys, and the things we’ve spent many hundreds of hours working on (websites).

We hope to have a replacement in place within a couple of days so that RSHumor doesn’t cease to exist. We would never want any of our users to get banned because of a breach of game rules, so we’re doing what we can to protect you. If JAGeX feels like bankrolling the site I’m sure we can come to some sort of an arrangement in which we have no advertising, but as we see that is not likely to happen, we ask for your patience and cooperation over the coming hours and days so that we may mend any loose ends, and fix what needs to be fixed.

I was supposed to wait until later to actually do the update, but I figured I may as well get it done with tonight while I’m still in an overachieving type mood.

So you guys have another 197 images in there and will doubtful have another update soon enough, as I haven’t gone through a lot of images. Most of the ones I added tonight were all submissions.

Be sure to check back tomorrow though, we’ve got a surprise for you guys ^_^

So.. life has been kicking my ass again. Life + laziness = lack of updates. I apologize.

We still have a very nice party planned for the 1 year anniversary (which was oh.. the end of January =P .. rather late than never, right?), details will be given out as soon as everything is finalized.

As for the update, I managed to get 169 images added over the past few days (yes, days.. I was lazy, got drunk and then lazy again).. so yeh. That’s done now though. Just cleared cache so everything should be peachy. I believe there are still some images floating around on the site that aren’t meant to be on it and I’ll fix those one of these days.

Made a few changes to RSPKing.com too. You no longer have to include the person’s name. As long as your RSN is in the image and in the little box when you upload, it’s all good. Also, if the name of the person you killed isn’t in the image, I’ll be accepting those as well. This should make it more tempting to upload images for all of you that are lazy. If you’re still too lazy to even do that, I have an email address on there so you’re welcome to send me zipped images.

Anyway, I think that about wraps it up. Someday I’ll get back to a standard update schedule. Until then, bear with me <3

So as I’m sure some of you have noticed, there’s an insanely large amount of fucked up images on the site atm. I have no idea what happened.. all the rejected images got added. That amounts to something like 1k images that aren’t supposed to be on there. Since it’s almost 1am for me, I’m not going to be able to fix it just yet so hang tight, we’ll have it fixed asap.

The actual update for the site was going to be done tonight but I noticed that there were almost no images waiting for me and I know that nobody else had done them.. figured something was up and saw that. So yeh.

Edit: I’ve got most of the images fixed, still 200 ish that I missed but it’s almost 3 am so Travis is just gonna have to be unlazy and fix it.

Edit 2: Because I love you guys so much I went ahead and did the update - 179 images. We’re at 3541 images.. tomorrow we’ll get the site fixed so all the crap images are gone. Almost 4 am.. -_-

It’s going on almost 3 weeks since there was an update so I feel you guys are entitled to an explanation of sorts.

First, I’ve been working alot. That alone delays me. Whenever I nagged Travis to save the images for me so I could update, he’d procrastinate.

Then just over a week ago I mysteriously was unable to load the site. I told Travis to fix it but he said it was my computer at first. Nothing worked and he finally realized that I somehow got accidentally banned from the server (isn’t that splendid?) and it was just removed earlier today.

So here I am.. and I’ve only got 105 images for you guys this time around. Another week where I have no images of my own to contribute but that should change this coming week because I have a little bit more free time.

Anyway, hope that clears up any questions there might have been. The site isn’t dead.. real life is just kicking our asses right now and we’re doing the best we can.

Last month I was working a lot on getting names and comments for images all correct and since I went back to work there hasn’t been time enough for me to make any progress on them but it’s the first thing on my to do list. Next, we’re planning a party - more details will come when we’ve got it all worked out.

Sorry for the really late update guys. I was computerless for about a week so I wasn’t able to update sooner. Not to worry though, I’m all settled into my new home so updates will be on time from now on =)

In other news, while I was without my computer I was using my friend’s to work on names and comments on all the images in our database. Quite a daunting task, let me tell you. I’m about 1/3 of the way done with them and I’ll probably get through another huge chunk of them tonight, so with any luck, it will be finished by the weekend, hopefully Friday. More information about this update will be posted once it’s all finished and ready to go.

We apologize for being slow on showing you the screenies from like last month? It’s October already and we’re just now posting them, so sorry about the delay, but here are a handful of them.

Thanks again to all who submitted images; there was a bit of confusion over who had the 2000th image, and just to clarify, we were looking for the image that made us hit the 2000 mark, not which image showed up on page 2000 on view all after the update, or image id 2000, the one that was 2000 before Travis and I added our own images. If you did not claim your prize, better luck next time - and yes, there most definitely will be a next time. We cannot express how much we appreciate everyone’s submissions. Also, as a side note, if you guys happen to know who we really are, please don’t tell everyone; we want to keep that on the down low until we’re prepared to make our identities public. Part of the fun of running the site is being an anonymous Runescape player. If suddenly everyone knew.. well, we’d suddenly have a lot less quiet time on our hands =P
