More? Whoa, yeh. 42!
This simply proves how much I love you guys. I wasted nearly two hours of my precious sleep time to give you another 42 images =P
We’re nearing 900 images and today is Saturday.. I have a feeling we’ll pass it up later today ^^
Also, we’re planning a fan day of sorts. I’m thinking a get together - I want lots of screenies of people saying “Rshumor owns.” Perhaps we’ll reveal who we really are.. then again, maybe not. Don’t really have the details worked out, as you can tell, but I’m pushing for it to be this month, probably near the end of it, on a Sunday. When everything is sorted out, I’ll give you guys the rest of the details. The main idea though is just to get some awesome screenies of the people that enjoy the site - you guys =)

No commentsNew Site Core — Web Development
Greetings one and all!
Many of you may have noticed the hours of downtime tomorrow morning, this was caused (in part) by our server taking a hit with so many queries at one time. Last night at around 10 PM PST we pushed the new version of the site live in hopes of solving this problem. Load times should be cut in half, and 70k queries per day should be reduced from the server.
The technology behind this update is amazing and I’m very pleased with it. I have to run to work now — but there will be an update this evening, how large? No clue.
Take care,
Travis

Yes, another 92 images added for your viewing pleasure. ^^
I’ve tried playing around with the little watermark thing a bit, to see if putting it in different places with a lower opacity makes them look any better and it works on some I guess. Just bear with me while I experiment and see which works best.
In other news, I expect we’ll pass the 1000 image mark by next weekend, perhaps sooner. I did the images about a week ago, before I left, and there were about 50 new images already waiting when I returned. It’s incredible.
On a random note, I was thinking about including instructions on how to make a fake conversation if you’re feeling really bored. I’d provide a blank text box and things to get you on your way. The only thing is that I don’t suddenly want a flood of fake convo’s… Anyway, I’d like input on this
I don’t think it will work so well with MS Paint, but Photoshop instructions will be fairly simple..

No comments113? Oh yes.
Well somehow we managed to add 113 new images. I’ve gone through the images that were waiting, plus added some that I had saved on my computer. Thus, there are many new images. Currently we have 733 images. Wow. It took me near two hours to do all of them and get them uploaded on the site (with the help of Travis of course).
My main concern with adding all these images tonight is that there are going to be some duplicates. If you catch any, simply tell us which images are the duplicates. If you can possibly let us know the numbers of both images, that’d be even better. If not, only one of the image numbers will do. Two people are bound to give us different numbers, so we’ll figure it out.
In other news, I’m going to be gone until late Sunday night (which really means early Monday morning for me), so if the images start piling up, don’t worry. Travis doesn’t really want to do the watermarking - that’s primarily my job - so I’ll do any new images from this weekend when I get back home.
Earlier tonight Travis and I came to the conclusion that writing descriptions for 700+ images is going to be a bit of a task. We’ve decided to just try to get the names corrected on the images before even attempting to add accurate descriptions. It’s probably not wise of us to keep putting it off, especially seeing as how we just added 100+ new images in one week, but it’s something we’ll just have to deal with when the time comes.
Anyway, enjoy the early update!

No commentsAnother 52 .. and stuff.
I’m guessing that next week we’ll have 700 images.
Travis and I have begun working on descriptions for the images, and trying to correct the names of the submitters. There’s a few reasons for this. First of all, we took quite a few of the images from various forums. If we don’t know who took the original picture, the submitter will be listed as “unknown” - thus, if you are the rightful owner and can prove it, we’ll fix it so that credit is given to you. Also, some of the rejected images have been overwritten with new images of our own, so names are kinda funky on those - descriptions also don’t match, for obvious reasons. We’re planning to make it so you can search through the images - either by submitter or by description. Many people either put 1-5 word descriptions or no description at all. There’s no way you can search for an image that has no description, so we’re doing our best to write short 1-2 sentence descriptions about them. We highly encourage you to give us your own descriptions when you submit images, as it saves us tons of time.
I’ve noticed that alot of people put their name on their submissions - it’s not necessary to do so, unless you’re extremely paranoid that someone else will try to claim it as their own. Lately I’ve been leaving the names in the text box in the image, but more or less cutting off the names that people add on with paint or whatever. I understand why people add them on - but you also need to understand why I’m taking them off. If you’re going to add your name on, please don’t use huge text to do so. As long as your name is in the text box, it’s not even necessary to write your name on it. If you have questions about this, feel free to contact us and we’ll answer your questions

1 commentSixty-eight.
So today I spent almost an hour doing images; the grand total for this week: 68. I may have done some during the week, but if I did, I’ve forgotten. Anyway, we’re almost to 600 images. That’s simply astounding.
We also have forums again - they’re not our own, but rather we’re on RSboards.com. So if you get bored, go and stop by them.

No comments513!
So last week we were at 480.. and after accepting this week’s images, we now have 513 circulating images!
As Travis hinted, we are making plans for celebrations of some sort - we’re still deciding on things, but we’ll be sure to let you know when we’ve come to conclusions
(I don’t think I could have been any more vague.. ^^)
Yes I’m a bit late putting them up again, I confess that I got a wee bit distracted with the newest update and forgot to do the images before bed. I’ll try my best to be more prompt with getting them done, especially with the arrival of summer. The summer isn’t even in full swing and this week we had over 40 new images submitted. You can expect the site to be updated twice a week once we start getting 50+ submissions a week.
Until next week, goodbye my loves! <3

No commentsThe Dreaded Post :: Database Meltdown
I’m not really sure HOW to explain it but most of you may have noticed that oh…the main site didn’t work yesterday and this can be accredited to the site being a victim of it’s own success so to speak. So many queries, so big of a database, and one poor server.
Linda is approving/watermarking/replacing images as we speak, and I think that most may be done tonight, but the rest will be done tomorrow.
There is plans for an “In-game” celebration to celebrate 1,000 images in our database, at this current rate that is very fast approaching so we will be working on those plans (It may be submitter only, or both so keep submitting images! More information will become available as it is made available to us…I wonder maybe we will reveal our run escape names (for those who don’t know) naaahh. What’s the fun in that
Have a great weekend guys and girls!
(Rest assured, we take daily backups of all images to ensure that your memories and this site is around for many years to come :))
